i forgot how good alien code Starts. like it's genuinely fun and intriguing and i love The Men (shoutout to them being the alternate title, wish you were in the flick more) and i Love kyle doing his best charlie day impression. and then the rest of the movie happens and you're like oh right you didn't have the budget for anything. sorry. i wish your script had been given a corny-monologue pass

The Conspiratorial Mindset
So, I've always had a bit of an interest in scams and hokum, and what people call "Cults".
One of the common refrains when you talk about religious Cults is, "If you think about it all religions have beliefs that seem odd to outsiders" and this is true, but as I read more about cults I started to think,
"Wait, a lot of these groups aren't united just by having unusual religious or supernatural views; a lot of them also seem to have matching patterns of behaviors that have nothing to do with belief in psychic space aliens"
I'm talking about things like,
Having a leadership structure which is absolute, where the top leaders cannot be disciplined or even openly criticized by lower members;
Exerting tremendous control over the dress and behavior of adherents;
Telling adherents that outsiders are untrustworthy and that contact with outsiders should be strictly limited and heavily monitored by organizational leadership;
The extensive and common use of shunning and reprogramming in response to violation of any of the above rules.
In some groups, failing to adhere to the dress code and spending a lot of time with outsiders is, at worst, the subject of a few little jabs at family gatherings. In other groups, those same behaviors are treated as Defcon one crises and become the central issue of the adherent's relationship with everybody else in the organization until they can be bullied back into doing the organization's bidding.
It was gratifying to learn that other people have noticed these patterns (Some people prefer the term "High Control Group" to "Cult" because it highlights what the actual problem is)
I am starting to notice similar dynamics in what are commonly called "Conspiracy theories".
The thing about conspiracy theories is... Well, conspiracies exist, and sometimes groups of powerful people get together to do something in secret which would get them in big trouble if they were to do it openly.
But I am starting to notice a particular, I don't know, a particular way of conceptualizing the organization and purpose of conspiracies which is unique to some people and which characterizes the kind of conspiracy theorist who takes Alex Jones seriously.
I kind of think of it as a "Witch-Hunting mentality".
For certain people in more primitive times and places, if they, say, slipped off a ladder and hurt themselves, their first thought would be, "That must have happened because a witch cursed me. We need to find and punish the witch who cursed me."
And this isn't just the attribution of malice that characterizes this idea:
One malicious conspiracy that might make you fall off a ladder is a manufacturer who doesn't care about safety ratings. Imagine that the manufacturer is really deliberately malicious here. A subordinate comes to him and says, "Our ladders can't reliably hold the weight of a person and a lot of them will probably break and cause people to fall and hurt themselves." and he says, "I know that but who cares, by the time people figure it out it'll be too late to get their money back."
That's a malicious conspiracy, but, importantly, if Bob buys a faulty ladder and falls off, the conspiracy wasn't trying to hurt Bob; it merely didn't care whether Bob got hurt.
Now, this distinction doesn't take away the malice and hostility towards Bob, but if you go to the ladder manufacturer and say, "Hey boss, Bob bought one of our faulty ladders, but he's really skinny so the ladder didn't break" the manufacturer will go, "Who the fuck is Bob? And good, that's one less angry person."
Whereas imagine Bob's ladder has been cursed to break by a witch. The witch did it because she hates Bob, and wants him to fall, and if she finds out he didn't fall, she'll go, "Curses, I'll have to find some other way to hurt Bob."
Conspiracy theorists, it seems to me, are far more inclined to conceptualize conspiracies as acts of deliberate malice aimed at them rather than acts of negligent malice.
@loving-n0t-heyting posted this article from the New York Post which contains a good example of what I mean:
“I thought I was on the cutting edge of promoting rights for gay people,” Yang said. “But then I started looking deeper into where this was coming from and who was paying for it, and I started to get very disillusioned...
I assume the people paying for it are LGBT advocacy groups? Did you, uh, not know that the people you were working for were paying you to work for them?
“When you really dig down you can see how much of this comes from documents and plans at the United Nations,” Yang said, referring in part to the UN’s “Gender Equality” initiative. “It’s part of a global agenda to restructure society, re-structure our social norms and the economy,” Yang claimed. “They are undermining the sexually dimorphic nature of reality and breaking down the differences between the sexes to break down our identity. They are constructing identities for us and they want us to adopt them.”
Oh, I see.
This is exactly what I mean. LGBT rights efforts make Yang and others feel disoriented, like society is being restructured and that they are being left behind, like they aren't quite in control of social norms and that stable identity categories can't be relied on anymore.
Now, one kind of conservative might look at that and say, "These are bad second order effects of LGBT people trying to assert their lifestyle in public and that's why we should oppose them."
But another kind says, "These changes make me feel unstable. Therefore, the main purpose of the changes is to make me feel unstable. In order to understand these changes, I need to figure out who wants me to feel unstable and what they would gain from making me feel unstable."
The idea that Yang's feeling of instability is simply a side effect of a series of efforts mainly focused on LGBT rights is incomprehensible. Instead, she believes that there is a series of efforts focused mainly on making her feel unstable, with LGBT rights as a kind of side effect to the main goal of making her feel unstable.
This kind of thing is, to me, a big red flag that indicates that we are starting to float away from reasonable conspiracy thinking into crazy town.
I am particularly curious if folks can recommend any writers or researchers who have noticed this dynamic.

Quiet Strengths
Tumblr media
Requested by anon: Can I request a fic where reader is autistic and shy but has a crush on Alex? Maybe she's the little sister of Lucy and Lois Lane?
Words: 2277
Alex Danvers wasn’t supposed to notice you. At least, that’s what you told yourself every time you saw her. You had convinced yourself that someone as brave, intelligent, and confident as her could never have a reason to look your way. But here she was, in the middle of the DEO’s bustling operations room, walking straight toward you with a warm smile.
You’d been working there for a couple of months, quietly carving out a place as the DEO’s go-to analyst for obscure alien tech. It wasn’t glamorous, but it suited you—your meticulous attention to detail and fascination with patterns made you uniquely good at it. It also meant you could avoid the high-intensity fieldwork that Alex seemed to thrive on. Watching her from a distance felt safe. Approachable. But now, she was closing that distance, and your heart thudded in your chest like a drum.
“Hey, Y/N,” Alex greeted, her voice cutting through the hum of background chatter. “Got a second?”
You nodded, swallowing hard. Words felt like an uphill climb most days, especially with someone like Alex. You shifted your weight from one foot to the other, your hands fidgeting with the hem of your sweater. “Uh, yeah. Sure.”
Alex’s smile widened, and you had to fight the urge to look away. Her presence was magnetic, overwhelming in a way that left you both exhilarated and frozen.
“Great,” she said, holding out a tablet. “We recovered this from a raid earlier, but none of our usual techies can make sense of it. J’onn said you’re the best person for the job.”
Your cheeks warmed at the compliment. “Oh. Um, okay. I can take a look.”
“Thanks,” Alex said, and for a moment, her gaze lingered on you. “I’m glad you’re here. You’ve been a huge help lately.”
You blinked, taken aback. Compliments weren’t something you knew how to handle, and coming from Alex, they felt like rare treasures. You mumbled a quiet “thank you” and took the tablet, focusing on the device to avoid meeting her eyes again.
“If you need anything, let me know,” Alex added before walking away, leaving you rooted in place, your mind buzzing with her words.
It wasn’t the first time Alex had complimented you, nor was it the first time she’d made an effort to talk to you. But every interaction left you more certain of one thing: you had a massive crush on her.
You hadn’t told anyone, not even your sisters, Lois and Lucy. They’d always been your champions, fierce and protective in their love for you, but the idea of confessing your feelings for Alex felt too vulnerable. Lois would probably tease you mercilessly, and Lucy—well, Lucy would likely try to set you up, which sounded mortifying.
Instead, you kept your feelings locked away, channeling your energy into deciphering alien tech. It was easier to focus on circuits and coding than the whirlwind of emotions Alex stirred in you.
One evening, after a particularly long day, Lois called. You were curled up on your couch, poring over schematics from the tablet Alex had given you, when your phone buzzed. You hesitated before answering. Lois had a knack for picking up on your moods, and you weren’t sure you were ready for her to pry.
“Hey, kiddo,” she said, her voice cheerful but tinged with concern. “How’s work?”
“It’s good,” you replied, keeping your tone light. “Busy, but good.”
“Uh-huh,” Lois said, clearly unconvinced. “And how’s Alex?”
You nearly dropped the phone. “Wh-what do you mean?”
“Oh, come on,” Lois teased. “Lucy told me you’ve been working with her a lot. She’s great, isn’t she?”
“She’s… fine,” you mumbled, your face burning. “She’s nice.”
“Nice?” Lois repeated, laughing. “Y/N, you’re terrible at hiding things. Do you like her?”
“Lois!” you protested, your voice rising an octave. “I… I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Sure you don’t,” Lois said, clearly amused. “Just… don’t overthink it, okay? You’re amazing, and if she doesn’t see that, it’s her loss.”
Her words stayed with you long after the call ended, a small seed of confidence taking root in your chest.
A few days later, you were in the lab, engrossed in analyzing the tablet Alex had given you. The device was unlike anything you’d seen before, its interface a mesmerizing web of glowing symbols. You were so focused that you didn’t hear Alex enter until she was standing right beside you.
“Any luck?” she asked, startling you enough to make you drop the stylus in your hand.
“Oh! Um, yes,” you stammered, quickly picking up the stylus. “Sorry. I didn’t hear you come in.”
Alex chuckled. “Didn’t mean to scare you. You looked pretty deep in thought.”
“It’s… fascinating,” you admitted, your voice gaining confidence as you gestured to the tablet. “The tech is… well, it’s not like anything we’ve seen before. It’s modular, adaptable. I think it’s designed to interface with other systems, but I’m still figuring out the specifics.”
Alex leaned in to look at the screen, and you caught a faint whiff of her perfume—something crisp and clean that made your stomach flutter. “That sounds like it could be really useful,” she said. “Do you think it’s dangerous?”
“Not… not inherently,” you replied, your words careful. “But it depends on who’s using it. It could be a tool or a weapon.”
Alex’s expression turned thoughtful. “Good to know. Let me know if you need more resources. Or if you just want to bounce ideas around.”
You nodded, trying to ignore the way her offer made your heart soar. “Thanks. I will.”
She smiled again, that same warm, genuine smile that seemed to light up the room. “You’re doing great, Y/N. Really.”
For a moment, you dared to meet her eyes, and the sincerity you saw there made your chest tighten. You managed another quiet “thank you” before she left, leaving you to wonder how someone as incredible as Alex could make you feel so seen.
Your opportunity to say something came sooner than you expected. A week later, the DEO was hosting a small celebration for a successful mission, and to your surprise, Alex sought you out amid the crowd.
“Hey,” she said, holding out a drink. “Thought you might like some company.”
You hesitated, then accepted the drink with a shy smile. “Thanks. I’m not… really good at these things.”
“Neither am I,” Alex admitted, leaning against the wall beside you. “Big crowds aren’t exactly my thing.”
You glanced at her, surprised. “Really? You always seem so… confident.”
Alex laughed softly. “Trust me, it’s mostly an act. I’m way more comfortable when I’m working.”
You nodded, understanding all too well. “Me too. It’s easier when there’s… structure. Predictability.”
“Exactly,” Alex said, her tone warm with understanding. She looked at you, her gaze steady. “You’re easy to talk to, you know that?”
Your cheeks flushed, and you looked down at your drink. “I… don’t usually feel that way.”
“Well, you are,” Alex said, her voice soft but firm. “And for what it’s worth, I’m glad you’re here. Not just at the DEO, but… here. With me.”
Your heart skipped a beat, and for a moment, you couldn’t find the words. Finally, you mustered the courage to look at her. “I… I’m glad too.”
Alex smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. As the evening wore on, Alex stayed by your side, her presence a calming anchor in the bustling crowd. She asked about your work, genuinely curious about the projects you were passionate about, and you found yourself opening up in ways that surprised you.
“So, what do you do for fun?” Alex asked, her tone light but interested.
You hesitated, unsure how much to share. “Um, I like puzzles. And building models. Stuff like that.”
“That makes sense,” Alex said with a grin. “You’ve got a brilliant mind. I bet you’re amazing at solving puzzles.”
“I guess,” you said, ducking your head. “It’s… relaxing. Predictable.”
Alex nodded. “I get that. It’s nice to have something you can control, especially when everything else feels chaotic.”
You glanced at her, surprised by how much she seemed to understand. “Yeah. Exactly.”
The conversation flowed easily after that, and for the first time in a long while, you felt truly at ease. When the night ended, Alex walked you to your car, her hand brushing yours as she said goodbye.
“See you tomorrow?” she asked, her voice soft.
“Yeah,” you replied, your heart thudding in your chest. “See you tomorrow.”
Alex lingered for a moment, her gaze searching yours as if she wanted to say something more. But then she smiled—a quiet, sincere smile that made your breath catch—and stepped back. You watched her walk away, the faint warmth of her presence still lingering like a comforting echo.
The following days passed in a haze of tentative hope and quiet longing. Alex’s words and actions lingered in your mind, each small interaction leaving you wondering if she might feel the same way you did. She continued to seek you out during breaks, her questions and interest in your work feeling genuine and steady. It wasn’t just about the tech or the DEO anymore—she wanted to know you.
One afternoon, you were working in the lab when Alex appeared again, carrying two cups of coffee. She handed you one with a smile. “Thought you could use a pick-me-up.”
“Oh, thanks,” you said, taking the cup with a shy smile. “You didn’t have to.”
“Sure I did,” Alex said, leaning casually against the table. “You’ve been working nonstop. Consider it a thank-you for being amazing.”
Your face heated at her words, and you took a sip of coffee to hide your flustered expression. “I’m just… doing my job.”
“You’re doing more than that,” Alex said firmly, her tone laced with admiration. “You’re brilliant, Y/N. I don’t know how the DEO managed before you came along.”
Her compliment sent a warm rush through you, but it also left you feeling exposed. You fidgeted with the edge of your sweater, your thoughts racing. “I… I’m not good at taking compliments,” you admitted quietly.
Alex’s expression softened. “That’s okay. You don’t have to say anything. Just know that I mean it.”
For a moment, the room felt smaller, the distance between you shrinking as Alex’s gaze held yours. The weight of unspoken feelings hung in the air, and you wondered if she could hear the rapid beating of your heart.
“Alex, I…” You hesitated, the words catching in your throat. “I want to say… thank you. For being so kind. And patient.”
“Of course,” Alex said gently. “I like being around you, Y/N. You’re… special.”
Her words filled you with a mixture of joy and fear. Did she mean it the way you hoped? Or was she simply being kind? The uncertainty gnawed at you, but before you could overthink, Alex reached out, her hand brushing yours.
“Can I ask you something?” she said, her voice soft.
You nodded, barely trusting yourself to speak.
“Would you want to grab dinner sometime? Just the two of us?”
Your breath hitched. The room seemed to tilt as her question registered. “Like… like a date?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
Alex’s lips curved into a smile, her eyes warm and steady. “Yeah. Like a date.”
A quiet gasp escaped you, and for a moment, all you could do was nod. “I’d like that,” you managed, your voice trembling but sure.
Alex’s smile widened, and she squeezed your hand gently before pulling back. “Great. How about tomorrow night?”
“Okay,” you said, a small, nervous laugh bubbling up. “Tomorrow night.”
The hours leading up to your date felt like an eternity. You second-guessed everything—your outfit, your choice of conversation topics, even your decision to agree in the first place. But when Alex showed up at your door, her easy smile and casual confidence melted away your nerves.
“You look amazing,” she said, her gaze warm and admiring.
“Th-thank you,” you stammered, feeling the blush creep up your neck.
The evening was a quiet, intimate affair—a cozy restaurant with dim lighting and a menu that catered to your preferences. Alex made you laugh with stories about Kara’s antics and listened intently as you shared your own quirks and passions. For the first time, you felt like someone truly saw you, not just as a brilliant analyst but as a person.
As the night drew to a close, Alex walked you back to your apartment. The air was cool, the city lights casting a soft glow over the street. She stopped just outside your door, her hands in her pockets as she turned to face you.
“I had a great time tonight,” she said, her voice earnest.
“Me too,” you replied, your heart pounding.
Alex hesitated, then stepped closer, her gaze searching yours. “Can I kiss you?”
Your breath caught, and for a moment, all you could do was nod. Alex leaned in, her lips brushing yours in a soft, tentative kiss that made the world fade away. When she pulled back, her smile was radiant, her eyes filled with something you could only describe as joy.
“Goodnight, Y/N,” she said softly.
“Goodnight,” you whispered, watching as she walked away, your heart full in a way it had never been before.
In that moment, you realized that maybe—just maybe—Alex Danvers wasn’t just someone you admired from afar. She was someone who saw you, understood you, and wanted to be with you. And for the first time, you let yourself believe that you were worthy of that kind of love.

Slash Film: 10 Best Alexander Skarsgård Movies And TV Shows, Ranked BY RUSSELL MURRAY JUNE 14, 2025 6:10 AM EST
All of their 10 are ranked below with their description of Alex's performance. Since Murderbot is the newest, I'm including the full write-up on it here.
Tumblr media
MURDERBOT (#4)
It might be too early to determine where exactly "Murderbot" truly belongs on this list. The newly released Apple TV+ series hasn't even finished airing its first season as of writing, and the network has at least seven entries in Martha Wells' "The Murderbot Diaries" to mine material from. That said, it's already such an entertaining star vehicle for Alexander Skarsgård that it could go down as his career-defining project — for now, a spot in the top 5 feels reasonable.
If you have yet to be acquainted with the weird delight that is "Murderbot," it follows the misadventures of a corporate security android (played by Skarsgård) who musters up enough free will and self-awareness to hack into [its] programming, liberating [it] from the lines of code that dictate his every moment. Now in total control of [its] future, the self-christened "Murderbot" is forced to play the role of mindless drone to avoid being melted down by his creators before he can make his final escape. [It] accompanies mining crews on dangerous expeditions and pretends to be as oblivious as possible. Every so often, an accident or local hostile will compel him to protect the humans he cares very little for — the rest of the time, [its] binge-watching thousands of hours of streaming content and monologuing to [itself] about whether or not [it] should slay [its] captors.
Skarsgård is absolutely killer as the melancholy Murderbot, making [its] mechanical alienation strangely relatable. It would be easy for the character's verbosity to drift into an unlikable "Dexter"-style narcissism, but Skarsgård's performance — with its mix of bored detachment and weird bursts of youthful excitement — gives "Murderbot" a narrative vibe that's as unsettling as it is endearing.
THE NORTHMAN - With all the pieces in place and production under way, Skarsgård went absolutely wild for his role as the Norse folk legend Amleth, packing on serious muscle mass and enduring a physically and mentally strenuous filming process to tell the story of the Viking prince's quest for generational vengeance. It's a credit to both Eggers' career and Skarsgård's talent that "The Northman" still rules despite being Eggers' most disappointing film upon release, though we feel it has aged into a violent, trippy, visually striking, and emotionally dynamic showcase of Skarsgård as a truly great actor.
GENERATION KILL - Alexander Skarsgård plays Staff Sergeant Brad Colbert, a character based on a retired marine veteran who has since become an outspoken advocate for the awareness of post traumatic stress disorder brought on by joining the military. The series' unflinchingly brave reckoning with the psychological and emotional consequences of warfare is what raises it to the level of "Band of Brothers," and the subtle, natural performance from Skarsgård is what raises it to the near-top of his filmography.
SUCCESSION - Skarsgård plays Matsson like a boyish, stupid sociopath who is so alienated from normal people that he can't help but see them as disposable pawns. At the same time, Matsson is given a humiliating humanity that paints his evilness not as genius, but as the embarrassingly insecure behavior of someone with no social skills. He nails the series' delicate tone, creating a character who is both plausibly dangerous and deeply stupid. Skarsgård and Matsson became the central villain for the triumphant final season of "Succession." Though he can't hope to fill the massive void left by Brian Cox's Logan Roy, Skarsgård is imposing, memorable, and totally arresting, and a large reason why season 4 might be the best season of "Succession" overall.
MURDERBOT - Skarsgård is absolutely killer as the melancholy Murderbot, making [its] mechanical alienation strangely relatable.
MELANCHOLIA - Alexander Skarsgård has a prominent supporting role in the first half of the film as Justine's fiance Michael, whom she loves but ultimately cannot see a happy life with. On its own merits, "Melancholia" is one of the best movies of the 2010s. In terms of Skarsgård's career, his vulnerable performance makes up for his lack of screentime, though not enough to rank it above some of his meatier roles.
INFINITY POOL - [Skarsgård] plays James Foster, a young writer who tries to escape his relationship problems by taking a getaway to a remote country that attracts wealthy tourists like his wife Em (Cleopatra Coleman). He quickly falls under the influence of an arresting fellow traveler named Gabi (Goth), who encourages him to engage in dangerous, morally corrosive acts — the consequences of which (due to the country's unique laws, culture, and apparent scientific advancements) are that James be forced to watch a clone of himself be horrifically executed by the state.
DOCUMENTARY NOW! (Soldier of Illusion Parts I & II) - "Soldier of Illusion" is surreal, hilarious, and unexpectedly disquieting as it looks at the absurdity of Herzog's artistic dedication from a new angle. Skarsgård's Rainer Wolz is compelling and empathetic. The actor's performance, coupled with Mulaney's bluntly comedic script and Alex Buono and Rhys Thomas' fidelitous '80s aesthetic, creates a hyper-reality so tangible it's often hard to remember you aren't actually watching a documentary.
BIG LITTLE LIES - Alexander Skarsgård plays Celeste's husband Perry, making up the other half of a toxic and abusive marriage. Skarsgård delivers a memorable supporting performance in the series, standing out in the crowded ensemble as one of the series' most entrancing characters. Skarsgård was awarded a Golden Globe and nominated for a Primetime Emmy award for playing Perry.
TRUE BLOOD - Skarsgård was perfectly cast as a hulking, mysterious Viking vampire, literally towering over every scene with a distinct vibe that's effortlessly charismatic and menacing at the same time. While his performance is totally believable, there's also something so impressive about how well he nails the show's tone and style, especially given that his later work is mostly naturalistic and understated, his soapy head-whips and dramatic stares feel artfully employed rather than cheap.
LONG SHOT - Skarsgård appears in the film as the Canadian Prime Minister, and though the script is mostly channeling a 2010s Justin Trudeau, Skarsgård gives him an awkward brashness that turns him into a three-dimensional rom-com villain. "Long Shot" is great on its own, but definitely worth watching for anyone interested in seeing Skarsgård in a light-hearted comedic story for a change.

1) Jack was introduced as an important plot point in Cas' storyline, from the very beginning his story was supposed to be tightly connected to Cas'. But I suppose execs thought that having Misha and Alex in the episodes together was luxury (and we can't even think about making an episode where Jensen and Jared aren't involved) which led to rare interactions between Cas and Jack which is deeply disappointing.
2) The same as 1.
3) They tried to do that in season 5 while making him a parallel to Bobby's disability, but in the end both of them just got better lmao. After that Cas losing his powers and gaining them was used mainly as a crutch to the main storylines.
4) Self-explanatory, I think
5) This is going to be complicated. Most likely it's just a me problem. Yes, there's charm to Cas being a total loser. Yes, trying to accept yourself beyond your usefullness is a theme. Yes, I get it. But. It feels bad. He's an autistic-coded character to whom I relate a lot. Because of my autism many people think that I'm incompetent, that I'm unable to do any job, that I'm too uhh child-like for it. And through Cas it seems to me that show says "yeah, lol, you're a loser, you can't do anything yourself, you should just give up and let others do your job". Like it's totally connected to my personal problems and to how I interpret the character, but if we're talking about lore of the show, shouldn't he be one of the most effective soldiers of Heaven? Why does he lose all his skills? I'm sure not all of them were connected to his angelic powers. And if they were, couldn't writers let him learn new skills? I just want the show to give him a little more dignity.
6) I just want what Dean fans have - lots of boyfriends/girlfriends for Cas.
7) If you're burying gays, don't be pussies about it. The "yeah, he's here in the Heaven" undermined Cas' sacrifice for no good reason.
8) If you can't have Misha in the episode, at least think of the fun explanation for Cas' absence. Like "Yeah, sorry, I wasn't in the last episode because had to fight aliens", idk.
9) I just want more drama. Moriah was good, but I want more.
10) The idea of Godstiel cults existing after season 7 is sexy to me.

Their favourite drinks (Super 4: Canon)
I cheated a bit with the title, we don’t have enough info to guess which their favourite drink is, but we can guess through the stereotypes, a little background and historical knowledge, the regular diet they have.
Super 4
Probably the team has a mix of the regular diets from each world, a bit from the pirates, a bit from the knights and a bit from the fairies, sometimes some fruit from the lost world too; although not from the technopolians, because we don’t know what do they currently eat, but if they keep using pills, I don’t think the rest of the team is willing to chew milk.
Tumblr media
(Ep: Baby Dragon)
I need to make a clarification, and it is that I think about the Super 4 as minors in the most widespread legal code, less than 18 years old, but if we think about their historical context, it wouldn't coincide. To sum up, to each one of their worlds: Gene is an adult, Twinkle is an adult, Ruby is a minor (I am not completely sure), Alex is a minor, and we don’t know about Alien, but we can presume he is seen as an adult too (already working on a post of their ages).
Technopolis
They eat, and probably drink too, pills. Maybe they are having an adaptation process to add normal eatables in their meals after getting rid of Computer Supreme, but they clearly keep using pills to substitute normal food.
I do not think Technopolis completely lacks regular animal or vegetable sources and that’s why they have to use pills, but they made pills because they are more efficient. In my opinion they have ultra advanced fields and farms somewhere else in Technopolis’s underground or something like that.
Fairies
They are vegetarian, I cannot say vegan because they use honey and eat pastries normally, and, as far as I know, being vegan is not only food, but also not using animal-derived stuff, like wool clothing.

(Ep: Some Like it Magical and The Silence of the Statues)
I don’t know if they are by choice, to be more linked to pureness and nature, or because they are a herbivore species. They are also very insect-like, so sap, honey and dew are very plausible options (they are constantly compared to mosquitos, so if someone wants a creepy idea, they may be able to drink blood too) to be some of their common drinks. I wouldn’t add pollen because it looks like it is weird even for them to eat directly from the flowers or some part of them.
(An alien replacing a fairy. A scene made to denote that fairies are strange.)
Tumblr media
(Ep: Fairy Snatchers)
They would be able to drink alcohol, but I don’t think they do that. Maybe they would have a special magic variation of “ceremonial drink with strange effects”.
I imagine Twinkle in the middle of a Kingsland dinner like:
([WOY] Ep: The Family Reunion)
Pirates
They have a tavern, they are stereotypical pirates, long live to ron and whiskey.
Probably pirates have a steel stomach, as real pirates had to survive with horrible conditions for several months (the few sailors who came back alive from the first trip around the world ate even the leather of their clothes due to how hungry they were), and Playmobils seem to be much more resistant to any kind of damage than average humans. I know the popular headcanon is the idea of the characters being French, but the pirates and knights are based on English/British culture, so I’ll compare them to England’s pirates and knights (maybe also Scotland, Ireland and Celtics).
I think the corsairs are well known. The pirates don't have a crown to name them private pirates (yes, the pirates are a democracy (corrupted and sexist but they are). Real pirates are thought to be more democratic than it was originally believed too), and they don't seem mainly interested in being seen as gentlemen, but they enjoy some level of fanciness, such as Sharkbeard having a differentially better clothing, purple, which was an expensive colour, and the pirate games take into account acrobatic choreography or just like to brag about it. British culture doesn't seem unknown to them, but probably is one of those “too fancy” drinks they enjoy in private.

(Ep: Saving Pirate Sharkbeard)
Knights
Wine, lots of wine. They are medieval, they gave alcohol to children. Wine was more restricted to special occasions than for minors, but Kingsland has “special occasions” each two weeks, with tournaments and such, and Alex is a prince; he wouldn't have problems reaching for expensive drinks.
I don't joke about the wine, but probably it wasn't the only drink they had, nor the most common for minors. Likely, they had mead and some kind of mild beer, those widely more extended than wine.
Mysterios and Furios
Togetherness because I do not think their diets are extremely different.
I don't know about American pre-colonial cultures, so I am not sure on which they are based. South America is awfully big, with lots of tribes and cultures, therefore I cannot be as sure as I was with the rest on what their drinks are based on the real world, but I have some theories. Mainly, based on the food from the surrounding area of the show, bananas, coconuts, fruits we don't know which are… They look like some kind of pods, the Mysterios seem likely to make juices or fruit drinks. If I placed them in Central America, they could have corn, cocoa, cinnamon and sugar, as drinks derivatives of these.
Tumblr media
(Ep: Super Rock)
I can't take out of my mind the idea of them being like Oompa Loompas and loving cocoa beans.
The Furios on the other hand, wanted to cook Gene and Rock Brock. If they didn't want to eat their meat, they could have been making a huge variation of a Mezcal (a Mexican alcoholic drink with a larva inside the liquid).

Spring Troupe
Sakuya: Thank you, S. I’ll definitely be able to wake you up one day, so this is just a good night for now.
Masumi: …Your Majesty, I shall devote my sword to you. I’m certain you are the master I was meant to serve.
Tsuzuru: I suppose I’m just as stupid… Rick's stupidity must be very contagious.
Itaru: …The sound is lacking, Toujou-sensei. No matter how much I play, the sound doesn’t match the music playing in my head.
Citron: Let’s go on a journey, Julius. Let’s leave this stifling town and travel the world.
Chikage: Professor, if we think about it logically, that’s not possible in reality. Therefore, the only answer is that it’s a dream.
Summer Troupe
Tenma: We’re not going to hand over Earth to the Triangle Aliens and the Cone Aliens! Take this, Earth Jet Stream!!
Yuki: Ah… Earth is done for… Humans will have no choice but to bow down to the Triangle Aliens and the Cone Aliens…
Muku: Come and join us, Triangle Aliens. We shall personally whip those shapes of yours into form.
Misumi: Angle, angle, angle… I shall turn these Cone Aliens into triangles along with this planet!
Kazunari: Tri, tri, tri… Us Triangle Aliens shall conquer the Earth! We won’t let it fall into the hands of the Cone Aliens no matter what!
Kumon: Co, co, co… There are only a few days left until the implementation of our Earth-wide Cone Project. Do look forward to it.
Autumn Troupe
Banri: Haaah? I’m not sulkin’ or whatever… Ain’t I the one you like? … Uh, is this hittin’?
Juza: I’ll go along with whatever ya want if ya gimme some sweets… I think… I’m doin’ the whole tsundere thing wrong…
Taichi: It’s not like I want you to tell me you like me! … No, I’m sorry, I really want you to say it~!
Omi: You know how I feel about you even without me saying it, yeah? … S-Something like that?
Sakyo: I don’t particularly like you, but it ain’t like I hate you either! … Did I use the wrong manga as reference?
Azami: I-I won’t be happy no matter how many brown sugar candies you give me! … Is this what a tsundere’s like?
Winter Troupe
Tsumugi: My heart has been captured by you, who’s as lovely as a flower. Really, I’m no match for you, my fairy.
Tasuku: It’s like you shot the bullseye of my heart. With those sparkling marble-like eyes of yours…
Hisoka: I really do like your smile. It’s as soft as a marshmallow and has made me its prisoner.
Homare: That which is more beautiful than a rose blooming in the fields, or a sky filled with stars… Why, I’m talking about you, my kitten.
Azuma: So close and yet out of my reach… You’re such a little minx, the way that even this part of you pulls me in is quite the problem.
Guy: The more I chase you, the more you avoid me as though you were a bullfighter… You’re truly an interesting woman.
Backstage
Matsukawa: Actually! Being the manager is but a borrowed identity… Ummm… Yes! I’m actually a detective!
Tetsuro: Starting today… I’ll… be a mangaka…
Akashi: ・・ ・ー・・ ーーー ・・・ー ・ … Ah! I’m talking about this stage!
Rento: Hah!? God’ll be doin’ a recital today!? …That was a lie!? I to’lly fell fer it!
Sakoda: Ah, I won the lottery… This is for real! Well, it’s only 10,000 yen, but a win is a win!
NOTES:
(1) spring troupe did a role swap of each member's first lead play! more specifically:
sakuya -> luke (tsuzuru, the clockwork heartbeat)
masumi -> lancelot (itaru, knights of the round iv)
tsuzuru -> oswald (chikage, the wonderful charlatan of oz)
itaru -> ennis (citron, harugaoka quartet)
citron -> romeo (sakuya, romeo and julius)
chikage -> alice/alex (masumi, boy alice in wonderland)
(2) summer troupe are doing their street act from chapter 2 of act 14 of the main story! which i assume in turn was inspired by yuki's nickname for misumi, triangle alien
(3) i translated akashi's morse code to mean 'i love', but the jp is just すき, which can mean both love and like. speaking of which, i have no idea if he means a performance or the stage itself. bless his soul
